“The flooring samples I was sent arrived quickly and look great. Only criticism is the amount of follow up emails and calls I have received following the purchase of the samples. It’s too much.”

“We've ordered 2 different types of flooring from DFD. One is excellent (aqua lock urban grey). It is comfortable and quiet and lays very well. The other is terrible (aquastone). It laid flat initially but has begun to lift and creak despite the subfloor being releveled. We've had to take it up and purchase more of the aqualock to replace the aquastone. I complained about this and was offered a partial discount but I still don't think it was enough given the expense of the floor. I don't think the aquastone is of good quality at all and should have been refunded in full. I purchased enough for 2 rooms. Thankfully I only laid it in one in the end due to the problems we've had with it so I've recently purchased more aqualock to go in the final room. But I'm all in all hundreds of pounds out of pocket due to a floor that isn't fit for purpose. So I'm reluctant to use you guys for anything again that isn't aqualock. Hence the 3 star review.”

“Seemed to be an issue with the board as they wouldn't click in until they were over centre. Then they would open up when made straight. Have bought from DFD before and the boards have been fine previously. My installer had a nightmare with this floor! Shipping and communication were good. And would still uses DFD again”

“The flooring is beautiful and goes down really well, however a lot of boards were damaged and it was one or two per pack which was really frustrating and a waste of money.”

“Delivery should have been on the Thursday but only half of flooring arrived we then had to wait until the Monday for the rest which caused a delay of moving into our new home, which caused a few issues.”

“Herringbone flooring has a higher percentage of scrap than the usual 10% it would have been nice to have been notified on the website about this so I didn't have to buy another box and pay another £40 postage for literally 3 boards.”

“The samples we got were great quality so we placed an order. The ordering process was easy however the delivery came a day late, no notice of the delay so I waited in all day for nothing. Customer service team were not helpful either, after a 20 minute wait to get through to speak to someone I was bluntly told that the delivery was going ahead as planned and that the driver could deliver up to 6pm. Order arrived the following day at 8am. The flooring arrived on a pallet which I now need to dispose of.”

“Flooring is brilliant quality but delivery is very poor. First lot of flooring came fully damaged which was sorted quickly, but on the three occasions I have been expecting orders all delivery dates have been delayed without any forewarning or updates. In total delivery has been re-arranged four times.”

“Flooring was disappointing. Easily chipped and issues to fit together. Underlay was brilliant though. One pkt of flooring had been resealed and one of the planks was already cut! Once installed it does look nice. Ordered too many though and have 2pkts surplus which I will use elsewhere in the house.”
