“I’ve ordered from DFD a few times before. Flooring has been of good quality and has lasted in the properties that’s it’s been laid. Hardwearing and great look. This lost recent time, I’ve not yet ordered but requested samples which came quickly (despite the postal strike) and received a follow up call to confirm receipt and see if further samples were needed. I’ve made my choice, just waiting for builders to confirm coverage so I can go ahead and place my order! Going with Baltic Sand Oak 12mm.”

“Signature -8mm Herringbone Laminate. We had this floor put down everywhere in our downstairs area, approximately 60m2. Unfortunately, we are having issues with the flooring, it keeps splitting in joints. It is happening in every room of the house : kitchen , dining area, front room & the hallway. The builders leveled the floor everywhere before putting it down and followed the manufacturing guidance. We are really disappointed with this product as we renovated the house and the flooring is an issue. It costed us a lot of money - plus the Labour costs. We have also purchased a different type flooring with this company that we have put down in our bedrooms upstairs & this floor is absolutely fine. This makes us think that the herringbone laminate flooring that we decided to go for downstairs is a very poor-quality , faulty flooring. We have complained to Discount Flooring and had to pay additional £100 for the inspection to find out that it is installation fault. Apparently the expansion gaps are not big enough. Please see the pictures. The report was vary unprofessional and vague & most of all not truthful. My father in law has also bought this floor for his kitchen and has exactly the same issues. ( picture attached) He has 3 different types of laminate flooring and the Signatura herringbone is the only one that is breaking in joints. “Ordered samples - very good service. Received a call to let me know there would be some delay due to the strikes and they sent me some extra samples as to compensate as the max is 3 per order. Samples arrived and very good quality. Will definitely use discount flooring when I make my choice!”
